Braveheart Update

braveheart2aAs you can see, Braveheart, our black & white feral kitty, is healing and recovering from his injuries. His hair is steadily growing back and though he’s a bit rough looking (and probably always will be), he feels so much better. He is also learning to trust, not so much humans, but rather a cat he never knew til he came to the shelter. Mingo is a sweet, loving and very social cat who is helping Braveheart in so many ways.

Mingo has befriended Braveheart and through his presence and his calm and loving disposition, he is slowly bringing Braveheart out of his shell. Braveheart will actually come out of his hiding place and lay out in the open with Mingo right by his side.

Becca is also working with Braveheart so that maybe one day he might begin to trust humans as well, but for now, we are just thankful for the friendship and guidance he is receiving from his new friend Mingo.

Thank you Mingo for being so patient and kind.

About colvillevalleyanimalsanctuary

The Colville Valley Animal Sanctuary is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned, neglected, and otherwise homeless companion animals. We provide both crisis and long-term sheltering, medical care, fostering, and adoption services - all with the goal of placing our animals permanently in safe and loving homes. We spay and neuter all of the animals in our care and actively promote, through financial donations and community support, the effort to reduce the number of unwanted animals in Stevens County. By example and through education, we promote and advance the values of responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals.
