Amazing Partner Shelters

CVAS is blessed to have some really incredible and generous partner shelters in and around the Seattle area and also in Spokane. I don’t know if we could continue to do what we do for the animals of Stevens county without them…in fact, I KNOW that we couldn’t!

Thanks to the Seattle Persian & Himalayan Rescue and the Seattle Human Society our President Bob Wright found himself in Seattle over New Years, renting a U-Haul truck and having it filled with 6000 lbs of donated Friskies canned cat food! That is 14,212 cans of cat food!

This amazingly generous donation was arranged by Lisa Junglov of Seattle Persian and Himalayan Rescue and coordinated by Katie Olsen at Seattle Humane Society.

That’s alot of food! To the right you can also see the stacks of newspapers donated by the Statesman Examiner and several of our FaceBook friends.

God bless the puppy cabin, in addition to housing puppies, elderly and very small dogs, it has also had to function in so many other ways for us, I don’t know where we would put all this food so it would not freeze, if we did not have the puppy cabin.

Again, a huge thanks to Lisa Junglov of Seattle Persian & Himalayan Rescue and Katie Olsen from Seattle Human Society.  We are blessed to have the help and support of those two wonderful organizations.
And last but not least, Bob deserves a big hug for spending New Years transporting food for the shelter, our President is the very best!

About colvillevalleyanimalsanctuary

The Colville Valley Animal Sanctuary is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned, neglected, and otherwise homeless companion animals. We provide both crisis and long-term sheltering, medical care, fostering, and adoption services - all with the goal of placing our animals permanently in safe and loving homes. We spay and neuter all of the animals in our care and actively promote, through financial donations and community support, the effort to reduce the number of unwanted animals in Stevens County. By example and through education, we promote and advance the values of responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals.
