Patrick Takes a Vacation

Patrick and Mr Buns spend some quality time together...just chillin.

You remember Patrick our sweet renal failure kitty don’t you? Of course you do! Well here he is taking a little vacation, he’s visiting with Mr. Buns and Pat, one of our volunteers at the Sanctuary.

Patrick is doing really well these days despite his severe condition, he is eating like a little piggy and he has been putting on weight! He never misses an opportunity to cuddle and he loves to just sit quietly and watch as the volunteers go about the daily routine at the Sanctuary.

But there is one thing Patrick can’t leave home without and that is his fluids.

Photo of Lactated Ringers bag, Patrick's fluids that he requires twice a day. These fluids are literally what keeps Patrick alive, he needs to receive them 2 times daily so unlike healthy cats, Patrick can’t be left alone for more than 10-12 hours.

So he brought his bag of fluids along with him, so Pat could make sure he gets them.

Patrick gets lots of loving and attention…

Pat has lofty goals

Patrick is a very good listener…

While Patrick is quite happy at the Sanctuary and we all love him to pieces, it would be so wonderful if Patrick could someday find a quiet loving home of his very own. A loving home with a special someone who would have the time to spend hours a day just cuddling together with him and could give him the fluids he needs. It would take a very special person, probably someone retired or someone who works at home who doesn’t still have young children in the home or other pets, this is really very specialised we realise, but if this sounds like you, please contact us!

About colvillevalleyanimalsanctuary

The Colville Valley Animal Sanctuary is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned, neglected, and otherwise homeless companion animals. We provide both crisis and long-term sheltering, medical care, fostering, and adoption services - all with the goal of placing our animals permanently in safe and loving homes. We spay and neuter all of the animals in our care and actively promote, through financial donations and community support, the effort to reduce the number of unwanted animals in Stevens County. By example and through education, we promote and advance the values of responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals.
